One our last day in Malawi, we visited the Tilerane-Kangoma Maize Garden Project, an innovative project that benefits HIV/AIDS households by providing them with agricultural training, seed, and fertilizer along with a large parcel of land donated by the village chief. This plan is of special interest because it's the first we've heard of fair, communal gardening that also offers incentives for each household to produce as much as possible. We hope you listen to this project, and inquire for more information about this wonderful funding project.
And we couldn't have left for the airport without one last visit to the Tilerane Orphan Care Center, where we had started out our journey a couple weeks back. The staff, the children -- they represent the hope and determination of their country.
Thanks so much for tuning in to our weblog; we hope you've enjoyed it. Please feel free to comment or query on anything you've heard, and we hope you'll be in touch for the various events we are planning
for the fall 2008.
